The abrupt ending of Right To Censor

May 24, 2001 – WWF Smackdown!
On the April 26 episode of SmackDown Steven Richards had been thrown out of the Right To Censor team. After a 4-on-1 handicap match against Undertaker The Goodfather, Buchanan and Val Venis all walked away and left Richards lying in the ring.
Tonight Goodfather, Buchanan and Ivory will face Steve Blackman, Grandmaster Sexay & Trish Stratus in a six-person inter-gender action. “The Right To Censor is still alive, despite the fact they don’t have a leader”, commentator Jim Ross says before the match, but RTC are on their last legs. Tonight we will witness their swan song, though obviously nobody realise this will be their last match. Right To Censor will disappear without any explanation or justification.
So, for the last time in a major show we will see Lisa Moretti in that abominable yet elegant black & white schoolmistress’ uniform! What a pity!
Bull Buchanan and Steve Blackman start the match. When Blackman dropkicks Buchanan from behind, Ivory tags herself in. Blackman tags Trish in. Trish shoves Ivory into a corner and shoulderblocks her, then hits a hiptoss. Ivory bails out of the ring. Trish chases her back in but Ivory pounces on her and caps it off with a snapmare. It’s nice to see how carefully Lisa Moretti leads her green opponent through the moves. Ivory goes for a whip, Trish reverses it, but now Goodfather makes a blind tag and while Trish faces Goodfather, Ivory nails her from behind. Goodfather is gloating at Trish, but she crawls under him and makes the tag to Sexay.
Sexay goes for a whip, Goodfather sends him into a corner but eats a boot. Sexay hops to the middle rope, leaps over Goodfather’s charge and hits an enzuigiri. Goodfather clotheslines Sexay, pounds him and tags Buchanan in. Buchanan gets in his shots and whips Sexay but Sexay slides under him and hits a DDT, then tags in Blackman. Blackman nails Buchanan with a thrust kick then comes off the ropes and connects with a jumping elbow. Goodfather comes in and they double-team Blackman, but Blackman hits a double dropkick. Sexay comes in. Goodfather tosses him through the ropes and goes after him while Blackman hits Buchanan with a spinebuster. Blackman bridges over into a pin but Ivory breaks it up hitting hard Blackman in the midriff.
Now Trish throwses herself on Ivory. A catfight starts and eventually the former champion gets on top. While Ivory gives Trish a beating and the referee tends to the ladies ready to count for the pin, Sexay climbs to the top rope and hits Buchanan with a top rope leg drop. Then Sexay rolls Blackman on top of Buchanan and there’s the win.
This was more or less the final nail in the coffin of the RTC. After the match Trish, Blackman, and Grandmaster Sexay dance in the ring.
